I’m the Laziest for Conventional Tasks to Accomplish

1 min read

I admit it.

I am lazy.

At least,
by conventional standards.

Routine tasks
drain me.

Repetition
bores me.

Following systems
without questioning
feels heavy.

I delay.

I avoid.

I escape.

Not because
I lack ability.

But because
I lack connection.

If it doesn’t
stimulate my mind,

it doesn’t
hold my energy.

And that
looks like laziness.

But maybe
it isn’t.

Maybe
it’s resistance
to meaningless patterns.

Maybe
it’s my mind
asking for depth.

For creativity.

For challenge.

Because when
something matters,

I don’t slow down.

I obsess.

I focus.

I go all in.

Hours feel
like minutes.

Energy multiplies.

That’s not laziness.

That’s alignment.

So the problem
is not effort.

It’s direction.

Conventional paths
expect consistency
without curiosity.

But I need both.

I need purpose
behind action.

I need reason
behind repetition.

Otherwise,

my mind
disconnects.

And when
the mind disconnects,

the body follows.

Still,

I can’t ignore reality.

Some tasks
must be done.

Even if
they feel dull.

So I learn
to negotiate
with myself.

Break it down.

Make it smaller.

Add meaning
where none exists.

Turn tasks
into systems.

Turn systems
into games.

Because discipline
is not natural to me.

But design is.

If I design
my way of working,

I move.

I complete.

I progress.

So yes,

I am lazy
for conventional tasks.

But I am relentless

for meaningful ones.

And maybe

that’s not a weakness.

Maybe

that’s a signal

to build a life

where effort

feels natural.
